Experimental study about utilization of MWCNTs and graphene nanoplatelets water-based nanofluids in flat non-concentrating PVT systems

Although the increment performance of photovoltaic thermal (PVT) systems by using nanofluids as working fluids have gained attention researchers during last two decades, there is still, a lack in literature study associated to this application. This contributes investigations and researches applying increase PVT collectors. A flat non-concentrating collector has been designed, constructed and, outdoor tested Karabuk University, Turkey. The considered are multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), graphene nanoplatelets dispersed water base fluid with concentration 0.5 wt.%. experiments were run volume flow rate L per minute for aforementioned distilled (as reference fluid). results shown revealed that MWCNT-water nanofluid presented better terms eletrical energetic efficiency compared nanoplatelets-water water, while highest efficiency. Moreover adding unit module enhanced total 53.4% 57.2% MWCNT-water, 63.1% graphene-water.
